Health and Safety

Some chocolate may not be suitable for children under the age of three, please check all packaging for age related information due to choking hazards.

Because our products are sauced by several manufacturers and contained in the same premises , we cannot guarantee that any product is free of traces of nuts, dairy or gluten unless specifically stated on the ingredients label. We do have a list of allergy free products that are clearly stated on the product page, if at all concerned please contact us first.

Gift Messages

We reserve the right to amend any gift message that we believe may offend the recipient.
We will contact you before any amendment is made.

Making A Purchase

All purchases are made in GBP ( Great British Pounds )

We accept Visa, MasterCard, Switch, Solo, Maestro and Delta payment cards and PayPal. You do not need to have a PayPal account to pay by credit or debit card when using PayPal to checkout.

Manufactures often change the design, colour, packaging and shape of confectionery without notice. We reserve the right to substitute a product for one of the same quality if it is out of stock or amended by a manufacture. If you require an exact product match for photographic purposes, please call or email us first to confirm the details.

Shipping And Handling

Orders placed up to noon will normally be dispatched within one to two working day.

Sunday and Bank Holiday orders will be dispatched within one to two working day.

Courier Deliveries will only be made 8am to 8pm Monday to Fridays unless you have chosen a Saturday delivery option. You will receive a text/email from the courier giving the time of delivery and full tracking details on the morning of the delivery.
 

Royal Mail deliveries are sent by either 24 or 48 hour service ( the new name for first and second class post ).


Please make sure somebody is in to sign for the parcel if the delivery is going to your home address.
We can deliver to your place of work, please note that deliveries are made weekdays only.
Once the goods have left us we are unable to change the delivery address.

Please note Weekends are not classed as working days, if you require a weekend delivery please call first or select our (Saturday Delivery option in the checkout) Saturday deliveries must have a completed order placed by 11am on Friday. Orders placed after 11am will not arrive on a Saturday.

International Deliveries

We do not currently ship outside of the UK

Stock / Back Orders

In the unlikely event that your item is out of stock, we will contact you either by email or telephone to confirm the delivery date and order status.

Credit Card Security

Your credit card details are encrypted with PayPal on their secure server to protect you from fraud. We do not receive or store your credit card details in any shape or form, only the confirmation that the transaction has been made is retained by us.

Guarantee

We guarantee your satisfaction. Under the distance selling regulations you may return items up to 7 days from receipt of good for a full refund. We can only refund food products if they are unopened in their original wrappers. Damaged products must be returned before a refund can be made. We do require photographic proof of damage before the item is returned. Please do not accept a delivery if it is damaged in transit.

Delays due to adverse weather conditions, postal strikes, acts of god, or terrorism are beyond our control and as such we do not guarantee delivery by a certain date due to the nature of these acts, nor are we liable for costs incurred due to delay. Return postage will only be reimbursed up to a reasonable amount which must be agreed in writing before dispatch.

Privacy Policy

A Bar Of Chocolate Ltd does not disclose buyers' information to third parties. Cookies are used on this shopping site to keep track of the contents of your shopping cart once you have selected an item, to store delivery addresses if the address book is used, and to store your details if you select the 'Remember Me' option.

Data collected by this site is used to: a) Take and fulfil customer orders, b) Administer and enhance the site and service, c) Only disclose information to third-parties for goods delivery purposes.

Returns Policy

We will do our up most to ensure that your order arrives with you in good order as soon as is physically possible. If however for any reason you are not completely satisfied then please notify us within 7 days of receipt of the goods and return the product in its original packaging with a copy of your original order and covering letter explaining your concerns. We will be happy to refund you in full. This is in accordance with the distance selling regulations UK This does not affect your statutory rights. You can cancel your order at any time after placing the order and up to 7 days after receiving goods. Goods returned to us by post must be sent via a signed for delivery. We cannot except any responsibility for goods returned to us that are lost in transit. We will not be held liable for damage caused due to atmospheric conditions while the goods are in transit. (Example, chocolate melting in hot weather.)

Orders And Contract Information

Your order is accepted and a contract is formed between A Bar Of Chocolate Ltd and you when we dispatch the goods you have ordered and not before. A contract is not formed at the point in time that payment has been taken from you by A Bar Of Chocolate Ltd, nor at the point in time that you receive an email from us acknowledging receipt of your order. Until the goods are dispatched the order may not be accepted by A Bar Of Chocolate Ltd or may be cancelled by you. Exceptions apply to orders for personalised items made to your order which cannot be cancelled by you once you have received email confirmation that your order has been received, as such items and goods may already be in production as a result of your order. (example personalised products, branded gift bags and branded hampers).
